The Scientific Advancement Division encompasses several ACS programs�� via five offices—��that support research, funding, and networking in chemical and laboratory safety, green and sustainable chemistry, 32 ACS divisions, and more. Scientific Advancement programs sponsor events, create educational materials, provide funding opportunities, and help ACS members connect with others in their areas of chemistry.

The ACS Office of Research Grants financially supports researchers; the current portfolio includes the ACS Petroleum Research Fund, Herman Frasch Foundation for Chemical Research grants, the Irving S. Sigal Postdoctoral Fellowships grants, and the Irving S. Sigal Global Mobility Awards.
