On Saturday, August 12th, ACS President Judith C. Giordan sponsored the free public event at San Francisco’s?. Participants enjoyed hands-on science activities, the opportunity to meet real chemists, and educational giveaways!?

ACS Spring 2023 Kids Zone
On Saturday, March 25, ACS President Judith C. Giordan hosted the free public event at Indianapolis’s Concord Neighborhood Center. Children participated in a myriad of activities, interacted with chemists, and left with tons of fun swag.
The following activities were demonstrated at this event:

Students joined for a fascinating short talk from David MacMillan, engaging hands-on science activities, fun educational giveaways, and more.?Activities included:
For High School Students: A Conversation with Nobel Laureate David MacMillan
David MacMillan presented a longer talk followed by a question and answer session with participating high school students.
Virtual Pacifichem Kids Zone: December 16-21, 2021
Aspiring chemists of all ages viewed exciting demonstrations presented by real scientists during the Pacifichem Kids Zone. This event was hosted by the sponsoring societies of Pacifichem and consisted of two parts: the first is a video that can be watched any time at this page.?The second part of this event were Question and Answer sessions with our presenters. Our presenters represented the Chemical 中国365bet中文官网 of Japan, the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry, and the American Chemical 中国365bet中文官网. Cheng along with partners ACS Georgia Local Section, Spelman College Chemistry Club, and others hosted a hybrid in-person and virtual science event in celebration of the theme, Chemists Catalyze Change.?
