Periodic Table of Chemical Elements

2019 is the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements (IYPT 2019)! Let's celebrate!

Countdown to IYPT!

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the publication of Mendeleev鈥檚 Periodic Table of Chemical Elements in 1869.

In celebration, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially proclaimed 2019 as 鈥淭he United Nations International Year of The Periodic Table of Chemical Elements,鈥 or "."

Join us as we celebrate听throughout the year by showing how chemical elements are central to "linking cultural, economic and political aspects of the global society through a common language, whilst also celebrating the genesis and development of the periodic table over the last 150 years."
