Crizotinib is a drug being developed by Pfizer to treat lung cancer, particularly non鈥搒mall cell lung carcinoma that most frequently affects younger nonsmokers or former light smokers. Its mode of action is to inhibit the enzyme anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK).聽, crizotinib performed exceptionally well, and a Phase III trial is under way.
