4-Ethyl-2,5-dimethoxy-尾-phenethylamine, commonly known as 2C-E, is a controlled-use hallucinogenic drug in the 2C family. Alexander Shulgin, a controversial psychoactive drug researcher, synthesized 2C-E for 鈥渞ecreational鈥� use, but it is now being used in serious neurological research. It is a potent 5HT2A agonist with an unusually steep dose鈥搑esponse curve.
