Dear Dr. Burstyn,
On behalf of the American Chemical 中国365bet中文官网 (ACS), I would like to congratulate you on your new position as Director of the National Science Foundation (NSF) Division of Chemistry (CHE). Serving as CHE Director is an important service to the scientific community; based on your credentials, I am confident that you will lead CHE with great skill.
NSF has a distinguished record of support for the chemical sciences. Over the years, ACS has worked closely with NSF 鈥 particularly with the chemistry division 鈥 on a variety of projects and efforts. CHE shares an interest with ACS in highlighting the relevance of chemistry to many of today鈥檚 grand challenges and is an important source of support for many of our members. As you begin your new role, know that ACS staff and members look forward to continuing this partnership and supporting the NSF mission in any way possible.
In the next few months, it would be a pleasure to meet, in person or virtually, to discuss in more detail how ACS can assist CHE. My assistant, Simanco Staley, is available to coordinate with your scheduler at a mutually convenient date and time. Ms. Staley can be reached at s_staley@acs.org. If you or your team have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact ACS Senior Director of Government Affairs, Anthony Pitagno, at a_pitagno@acs.org.
Thank you for your decades of membership with ACS and congratulations again on your new position. I wish you all the best for a successful tenure as Director of the Division of Chemistry.
Sincerely,
Albert G. Horvath
