Media invited to ACS Webinar on chemistry and entrepreneurship & small/medium business
WASHINGTON, April 15, 2009 鈥� News media covering the chemical sciences, small businesses, and entrepreneurships are invited to join an American Chemical 中国365bet中文官网 (ACS) Small & Medium Business Webinar Series on technology commercialization in lean times.
Scheduled for Thursday, April 23 from 2 鈥� 3 p.m. Eastern Time, the teleconference will feature Craig Galbraith, MBA, Ph.D., Professor of Entrepreneurship and Technology Management and the GlaxoSmithKline Faculty Fellow in Economic Development at the Cameron School of Business at University of North Carolina in Wilmington. Galbraith is also an active private equity 鈥渁ngel鈥� investor, works with numerous Department of Defense technology transfer agencies specializing in bio/chem warfare agent detection and port security technologies, and is currently the Vice-President of Commercialization for Horizon Vision Research, Inc., a start-up medical instruments R&D firm.
The topic for the teleconference is 鈥淪teps to successful technology commercialization for scientist entrepreneurs and small/medium businesses in lean times.鈥� Galbraith will discuss how to bring chemical/biopharma technology to commercialization in today鈥檚 economy for entrepreneurs and small businesses.
The ACS Small & Medium Business Webinar Series addresses current topics of interest to entrepreneurs and small & medium businesses in the chemical/biopharma enterprise. There will be a 30-minute presentation with Galbraith followed by a 25-minute Q & A session.
