WASHINGTON, Feb. 3, 2009 鈥 As a service to the scientific research community and in keeping with its commitment to the rapid dissemination of scientific information, ACS Publications has introduced a pilot program, called 鈥淛ust Accepted,鈥 to deliver journal content online two to seven weeks faster than before.

鈥淛ust Accepted鈥 manuscripts have been peer-reviewed and accepted for publication. They will be posted online prior to technical editing, formatting, and author proofing. 鈥淎CS is providing this service to expedite the dissemination of scientific information in a fully citable format,鈥 Evelyn Jabri, Senior Acquisitions Editor and project leader, told .
鈥淛ust Accepted鈥 manuscripts are assigned a digital object identifier (DOI) to be used when citing the research.
