Students, faculty, public invited to ‘ACS on Campus� event on April 20 at Cornell University

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., April 5, 2012 � The (ACS) invites students, faculty and interested members of the public to at on Friday, April 20, 2012 in Clark Hall. The event will debut new ACS on Campus content; seminars will explore communicating your science to the general public, how to successfully tackle (NSF) grants, how to get a manuscript published and more. A flyer is for your information and use.

The events are free, but . All morning attendees will receive a ticket for free lunch from 12:30-1:30 p.m. as part of the SciFinder Ninja training session.

Students are encouraged to attend both the morning and afternoon sessions.

ACS on Campus is a Library Relations initiative begun in 2010 to raise the profile of the campus science/chemistry librarian through a series of campus events. Since then, it has become the Öйú365betÖÐÎĹÙ꿉۪s cross-divisional campus outreach program bringing resources from ACS Publications, Chemical Abstracts Service, Membership & Scientific Advancement and Education to over 20 campuses domestically and internationally. Students participate in seminars on the basics of peer review, ethics in scholarly communications, career building and development and effective use of ACS Web tools like SciFinder®, the ACS Network and the Web Editions Platform.
