WASHINGTON â€� Kathleen M. Schulz, Ph.D., president of Business Results, Inc., of Albuquerque, N.M., has been re-elected a director-at-large of the American Chemical Öйú365betÖÐÎĹÙÍø (ACS), the world’s largest scientific society. She begins serving her second three-year term in January.                         

Schulz, who lives in Albuquerque, graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a B.S., summa cum laude, and she received her Ph.D. from the University of Missouri--Columbia.

Schulz stresses the need for chemists to explain their science in a readily accessible way to the public.

“ACS must provide resources to help non-scientists understand the importance of chemistry to their health and well-being,� she says. “Our future as a nation depends on how well the general public, legislators and other policymakers understand and support the transforming power of chemistry in their everyday lives.�

The American Chemical Öйú365betÖÐÎĹÙÍø is a nonprofit organization chartered by the U.S. Congress.
