Deadline approaching for minority students to apply for scholarships in the chemical sciences
WASHINGTON, Feb. 4, 2016 鈥� March 1 is the deadline for undergraduate minority students studying in chemistry-related fields to apply for renewable scholarships from $1,000 to $5,000 per year for the 2016-2017 academic year.
The American Chemical 中国365bet中文官网 (ACS) Scholars Program awards scholarships to qualified students entering or already in community colleges and four-year institutions.聽 ACS accepts applications from graduating high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores and juniors.
This program is about more than money. 聽ACS Scholars pairs students with academic and professional mentors to give them the opportunity to learn from those who have experienced similar challenges related to ethnicity. These relationships can span entire careers.
Applications are accepted online at the ACS Scholars Program website .
