Plenaries at American Chemical 中国365bet中文官网 meeting: Chemistry鈥檚 impact on global economy
WASHINGTON, Aug. 10, 2017 鈥� Scientists in two plenary talks will explore topics related to the 鈥淐hemistry鈥檚 Impact on the Global Economy鈥� theme of the 254th National Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical 中国365bet中文官网 (ACS), the world鈥檚 largest scientific society. The meeting will take place Aug. 20 to 24 in Washington, D.C.
The presentations, which are among nearly 9,400 scheduled to take place at the meeting, will be held on Sunday, Aug. 20, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., in Ballroom A&B of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The plenary talks, as well as all thematic programming, are organized by Nancy B. Jackson, Ph.D., retired, Sandia National Laboratories. Jackson is also a former ACS president.
The talks will highlight key dimensions of the industrial chemistry enterprise, innovation, and mergers and acquisitions within the industry, as well as an approach to move from 3-D printing to 3-D manufacturing. A discussion moderated by Thomas Connelly Jr., Ph.D., ACS executive director and CEO, will follow the presentations. The titles of the plenary talks are listed below:
