WASHINGTON, Jan. 31, 2017 鈥 Three international chemical companies have joined the American Chemical 中国365bet中文官网鈥檚 (ACS) Green Chemistry Institute (GCI) Hydraulic Fracturing Roundtable. The roundtable is dedicated to integrating environmental sustainability into the chemical supply chain and providing a science-focused organization to enable informed decisions about chemicals.

鈥淣etworking with roundtable members can provide operators and producers of these chemicals early access and insight into the market direction for planning purposes to ensure long-term sustainability,鈥 says Danny Durham, director of Global Upstream Chemicals, Apache Corporation, and co-chair of the ACS GCI Hydraulic Fracturing Roundtable.

The new member companies are Canadian Energy Services & Technology, a manufacturer of consumable fluids and specialty chemicals for the oil and gas industry; Innospec, a global specialty-chemicals company; and Blentech Corp., a leading manufacturer of processing equipment and fully integrated processing systems. The roundtable (www.acs.org/gcihydraulicfracturing) also includes founding members BASF, Apache Corporation, Solvay and the Dow Chemical Company.

鈥淪ustainability is both an obligation and a business opportunity for BASF. Together with our partners, we drive sustainable solutions to improve quality of life for our world鈥檚 growing population. Innovation, continuous improvements and responsible action along the value chains ensure the most efficient resource use and long-term business success,鈥 said Carla Butler, business director, Western Hemisphere 鈥 Global Oilfield Solutions.
