WASHINGTON, March 1, 2018 â€� American Chemical Öйú365betÖÐÎĹÙÍø (ACS) President Peter K. Dorhout, Ph.D., will emphasize his themes of enhancing chemistsâ€� adaptability and promoting safety and diversity at the 255^th ACS National Meeting & Exposition, March 18 to 22 in New Orleans. The presidential events â€� which also support the meeting’s “Nexus of Food, Energy & Waterâ€� theme â€� will be held at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside hotel.

Presidential programming will kick off on Sunday morning with “Water, Water Everywhere But Not a Drop To Drink,� which will feature renowned scientists discussing methods of preserving, protecting and delivering clean water. Presidential programming will continue on Sunday afternoon with the symposium “Science Cafés and Engaging the Public.� In this session, speakers will share best practices and tips for initiating these events that delve into a scientific issue within a community in a fun and lively manner, with a reception to follow.

In addition to the events, Dorhout is cosponsoring 11 other symposia:
