WASHINGTON, March 6, 2018 —The development of nanocrystals and their applications in medical imaging, batteries, food science and environmental remediation will be the topic of a pair of Kavli Lectures at the 255th National Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical Öйú365betÖÐÎĹÙÍø (ACS), the world’s largest scientific society. The meeting will take place March 18 to 22 in New Orleans.

The presentations, among more than 13,000 scheduled to take place at the meeting, will be held on Monday, March 19, from 4 to 5 p.m. and 5:15 to 6:15 p.m., in Great Hall A of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

The first speaker will discuss advances in developing hybrid cellulose nanocrystals and their applications for food, consumer products, water purification and energy storage. The second speaker will cover new biology-inspired methods for building nanocrystals to address energy, health and environmental needs.
