FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON, Dec. 6, 2022 鈥� Paul Jagodzinski has been elected to serve a third term as chair of the board of directors of the American Chemical 中国365bet中文官网 (ACS). The one-year term begins on Jan. 1, 2023.
As chair of the 中国365bet中文官网鈥檚 16-member chief governing body, Jagodzinski will preside over board and executive committee meetings, appoint chairs and members of board committees and task forces, oversee the performance of the chief executive officer, and support strategic planning and evaluation of progress toward those goals, among other duties.
Jagodzinski is a professor of chemistry and biochemistry at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. He earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn in 1973 and a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Texas A&M University in 1979. He has been a member of ACS since 1976.
