    About the Cover

The cover is a scene from Antarctica, like on the Thwaites Glacier. Scientists who study and research glaciers are called glaciologists. You can see a few of them at work鈥攃ollecting data about glaciers, drilling glaciers, studying climate change, and more. On the left, the mole researcher is collecting glacier samples on a paddleboat. On the right, the mole scientist is drilling to get a sample of the ice core to study what is trapped in it and understand climate change. In the front, two glaciologists are setting up with a laptop to study the flow of glaciers. You can also see a keen visitor, a penguin, peeping in to check out their cool setup. In the background, you can see a glaciologist climbing a glacier to study ice sheets and their thickness as well as to sample the water that maybe melting in some parts.
