Transforming Chemistry with Quantum, HPC, and AI Workshop

Tuesday, March 25, 2025 | 8 AM - 12 PM PT

Unlock the future of scientific discovery with Microsoft Azure Quantum at ACS Spring 2025 in sunny San Diego, California!

If you're passionate about quantum computing and AI, don鈥檛 miss this electrifying opportunity to dive deep into the cutting-edge technologies shaping tomorrow. Request your spot to聽join the Microsoft Azure Quantum team for an inspiring 1-hour lecture, followed by an immersive 3-hour hands-on workshop, where you鈥檒l explore how High-Performance Computing (HPC), AI, and emerging quantum systems are revolutionizing scientific breakthroughs.

To begin the session, Dr. Nathan Baker will present a lecture on the convergence of Quantum, HPC, and AI. This lecture will cover:

  • The promise of quantum computing for chemistry and materials science
  • The latest advances in reliable quantum computing
  • How quantum computing will evolve from scientific quantum advantage to industrial quantum advantage
  • The role of AI and HPC in scaled quantum computing systems
  • How industry, government, and academia should start preparing for the future of quantum computing

The workshop following the lecture will take attendees through an end-to-end chemistry solution for quantum computing on a molecular system. The workshop will cover the following tools:

  • AutoRXN: Explore reaction networks of molecules
  • Accelerated DFT: Accelerate electronic structure simulations
  • AutoCAS:聽Calculate correlation level and active space to determine the best level of computational theory, including quantum computing
  • Quantum Resource Estimator: Estimate the resources needed to run a quantum program on a fault-tolerant quantum computer
  • Logical qubits: Use a comprehensive discovery suite with the most powerful quantum machine

Due to limited time and resources, only聽a limited amount of聽participants will be selected for the hands-on portion of the workshop. Selection will be based on various factors, including your organization, title, and responses provided in the registration form. All applicants will be notified of their status via email by Friday, March 14th.

If you are not selected as a workshop participant, we still encourage you to attend as a spectator. Spectators will have the opportunity to observe the lectures and demonstrations, ensuring everyone can gain valuable insights from the workshop experience.

Light food and beverages will be provided to workshop participants and spectators.
